About Us
Bringing communities together, one station at a time.
Our Story
A community initiative with a clear mission
Love Our Railways is a community initiative founded by Love Bebington CIC, a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to improving public spaces and creating stronger communities across the Wirral.
What began with the adoption of a single railway station has grown into a network of station partnerships, bringing together volunteers, local businesses, community groups and railway partners to transform stations into places people can be proud of.
Through colourful planting schemes, heritage projects, public artwork and environmental improvements, we are helping create greener, brighter and more welcoming railway stations that leave a lasting first impression for both passengers and visitors.
Our mission is simple:
Bringing communities together through the railway.
We believe railway stations should be more than places to catch a train. They are gateways to our towns and villages, often providing visitors with their first impression of an area.
Through volunteering, sponsorship and partnership working, we create attractive stations that celebrate local heritage, encourage biodiversity and support sustainable rail travel for future generations.
Our Impact
Making a difference every day
Beautiful Stations
Creating colourful planting displays and attractive public spaces that make stations welcoming throughout the year.
Greener Future
Supporting biodiversity through planting schemes that encourage wildlife and improve the local environment.
Community Pride
Bringing local people together through volunteering, community projects and partnerships.
Heritage
Celebrating local history through interpretation boards, artwork and projects that showcase the stories behind our stations.
Sustainable Rail Travel
Helping make railway stations more attractive while encouraging more people to choose the train for everyday journeys.
Looking ahead
Love Our Railways continues to grow, with additional station partnerships planned across the region.
As the project develops, we are also progressing towards becoming our own Community Interest Company (CIC), allowing us to focus entirely on improving railway stations, developing new partnerships and supporting communities across the rail network.
Every volunteer, every sponsor and every partnership helps us continue making a positive difference.
